Au-delà des habiletés d’intervenante, quels sont les enjeux propres au fait d’être une femme et avoir à intervenir auprès d’hommes en détresse ? Comment s’outiller pour y faire face ? C’est une présentation en toute humilité, de réflexions et de découvertes en tant que femme, qui servent au quotidien sur le terrain ; sachant bien que ces réflexions évoluent à tous les jours parce qu’on découvre à tous les jours et parce que les hommes évoluent, eux aussi à tous les jours…

Being a woman and intervening with men

Considering that 75% of suicides are committed by men and that they are recalcitrant to consult, it then become urgent to adjust are attitudes, tools and strategies. Beyond the counselors skills, what stakes are involved in being a woman and having to intervene with men in distress? How can she equip herself to deal with it? A human presentation of reflections and discoveries as a woman who, daily, serves in the field, knowing that these reflections evolve every day because one makes discoveries every day, and because men evolve, as well, every day… Note that, in spite of the title, this workshop is equally intended for women and men who intervene with male clientele.
